Time to revisit an old friend: The 1988 Turner Preview Version. #SamPeckinpah #PatGarrettAndBillyTheKid #JamesCoburn #KrisKristofferson #BobDylan #Westerns

Had a blast with this week's international roundup of #westerns! All first-time viewings, found streaming online, beginning Monday night with the hilarious #CaptainApache (1971) starring #LeeVanCleef. Continued Tuesday night with the beautifully strange #EuroWestern #Matalo (1970), my second favorite of the week. On Wednesday, the musical #Zachariah (1971), costarring a very young #DonJohnson. I had not expected that one to be so much fun! However, Thursday night's movie was the cherry on top: director #RolandKlick's superb #Deadlock (1970). It's one of the best movies I've seen all year! (And it's temporarily streaming thru MUBI/Amazon.) Finally, Friday night's movie had been waiting in my queue for years, and it did not disappoint: from Brazil of all places, #AntonioDasMortes (1969).

Lemonade Joe (1964). This was among the funnest films I've watched all year. I laughed my head off. It's currently streaming via Amazon Prime Video. #LemonadeJoe #OldrichLipsky #EuroWestern #Westerns
